To move the ram loosen the two gib bolts. Crank the ram forward or backward with the crank 
handle. Re-tighten the gib bolts.

| The ram can be moved in or out atop the turret to accommodate difficult to reach positions or to increase the rigidity of the machine by moving the head further in towards the column.
