You have control of the mill table in the longitudinal (or X) direction via the table's handles which are mounted on the right and left ends of the table.You have control of the mill table in the cross (or Y) direction via the table's handle which is mounted on the front of the saddle.
You have control of the mill table in the vertical (or Z) direction via the table's knee axis handle which is mounted at the front left side of the knee.
These three movements of the table can be controlled (set) with some repeatable accuracy by using the micrometer collar on each handle. This video shows the micrometer collars on the able and knee handles and how they can be set and locked to a reference reading.
