Hand reamer

A reamer intended to be used by hand rather than with the aid of a machine. A hand reamer has a square end of the shank so that it can be mounted in a wrench or tap handle. A machine reamer has a round shank so that it can be mounted in a chuck or collet. There are other small differences between hand and machine reamers.  See also reaming.
